First off, the new Cake (v5.0.1) looks very sleek. However, when i click on “Receive” in my Bitcoin wallet it always defaults to the first address instead of defaulting to an unused one like before. I know the Cake team is well aware of reusing addresses so no need for an explanation; just thought i would point it out.
I guess if i now turn on Autogenerate addresses it does default to an unused one. Cake autogens a handful of addresses when creating a new wallet, so if autogen address is not on it always picks the last selected one.
