I have used Coinomi for my Bitcoin wallet and Cake Wallet for XMR for several years. Coinomi had always had an empty Monero default wallet. Yesterday I logged on to my Coinomi account and for the first time ever saw my XMR balance listed!! How can that be? It was showing XMR on both my PC and my iPhone. The balance in Cake was still there when I checked. The XMR in Coinomi shows as “unprocessed”. Could it have synced my Cake wallet without my permission?

Hm, sounds a bit odd. Are you 100% sure both seeds are different? Doesn’t hurt checking each mnemonic seed both in Cake Wallet and Coinomi. I can’t think of any reason why or how Cake or Coinomi would sync one or the other without explicit user permission. 
I just got robbed. Both Monero and Coinomi show transactions I didn’t make yesterday. Oh well. Live and learn. 2026 is turning to shit for me.
