Issue with Cake Wallet Backup Import (PC to Android) - Corrupted File Error

I am encountering an issue when attempting to import a backup file from Cake Wallet PC (v1.0.0) into the Cake Wallet Android app (v5.1.1). The import process fails, and the app reports the backup file as corrupted.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. On PC (Windows), open Cake Wallet v1.0.0.
  2. Navigate to “Backup” or “Export Wallet” and create an encrypted backup file, setting a password.
  3. Transfer the generated .zip file from the PC to the Android device (Tried using USB and FTP).
  4. On the Android device, open Cake Wallet v5.1.1.
  5. Select “Restore from backup file” .
  6. Choose the transferred backup file and enter the password used during export.
  7. The import process initiates briefly and then fails, displaying 3 error messages.

The backup file should import successfully, and the wallet should be restored on the Android device. The import fails, and an error message indicates that the backup file is corrupted.

Troubleshooting Steps Already Taken:

  • Double-checked the backup password and file size multiple times.
  • Retransferred the file using a different method.
  • Cleared cache and data for the Cake Wallet app on Android.
