Problem restoring cake wallet on windows 10

Hi guys

I’m having a problem with cake wallet on windows 10 that I’m hoping someone can helpme with.

I installed cake last year and have been using it no problem. I haven’t touched it for a couple of months and loaded it up last week - the problem I have is that it looks like it’s seeing everything as a new install, as the first thing it does is ask me to setup a PIN number, instead of asking me for my existing PIN. If I use the same PIN as before, the next step it gives me is to create a new wallet. There is nothing to show my existing wallet which I already had setup.

Anybody any ideas how to resolve this?

Hi,

Unfortunately it seems like the wallet files got deleted, either by mistake or by another software (antivirus or a disk cleaning software).

you can restore your wallets using your seeds and you can continue using the app normally.

you can also double check if the files are there or not, go to C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\ and look for Cake folder, if you can’t find it, then unfortunately it was indeed removed
