Suggestion for Cake mobile wallets

suggestion to improve user experience (my opinion only)-
When tinkering with Settings, the flow would be smoother if I could stay in Settings until I am done. For example, on every new app I get, the first thing I do is go to Settings and line by line tweak them to my preferences. Currently in Cake and Monero.com wallets- there is essentially no back button (one is there
but it just sends me back to the home page and out of settings). The result is unnecessary extra clicks. If I am missing something LMK. I even went to all of my other wallets to verify I’m not just nitpicking

Hi @darktradingday, welcome to the forum!

Love the suggestion, and just tested this out myself – it does seem like the back button works properly for me, taking me back one step while in settings (which in most cases is back to the balance screen, as most settings menus are only one level deep).

When navigating to those with more depth (i.e. Security > Show wallet seed/keys) the back button properly takes me back one level to the general settings menu.

Do you also see that behavior? Any other comments you have around how we could improve that are highly appreciated!

Hey! congrats on the job btw!

I did notice it works as you described when going 2 layers deep and yeah I realize it’s a bit OCD and super minor. I was simply suggesting making the general settings menu properly work as that first layer to eliminate a click for each action taken.

For example if I am working my way down the settings options, there will be one extra click involved each time. So going from security to privacy, it’s 3 clicks instead of 2. (back>settings>privacy) instead of (back>privacy)

From privacy to display settings (back>settings>display) instead of (back>display)…etc

Love Cake and all that you have done for the privacy community! Take care and have a great rest of the week!
